Over The Rainbow
Over the Rainbow is the network for LGBTIQ+ employees at KLM. The network makes it possible to be yourself at work. Without explanation. Without adjustment.
What does Over the Rainbow do? The network organizes meetings where colleagues share their stories. They talk about challenges. About acceptance. And about how it feels to be open about your identity.
Over the Rainbow also works with teams and leaders. Through workshops and campaigns. This way the entire company learns what it means to be inclusive.
The result? A culture where everyone can be themselves. Where differences are not only accepted, but truly valued.
For example, the organization introduced rainbow-colored lanyards for LGBTQ+ employees. A recognizable symbol like this can offer support not only to colleagues who are already open about their identity, but also to those who have not yet taken that step.Joris
Joris explains: 'By wearing such a lanyard, you don’t have to come out over and over again. People immediately see that you are part of the community.
