Board your next challenge as a Product Designer / UX Designer within KLM’s People Technology & Intelligence team. You’ll work on digital HR solutions that support KLM colleagues throughout their employee journey — from applying for a job and onboarding, to learning, developing, and managing their work.

From cabin crew and pilots to baggage handlers, engineers, and office staff: your challenge is to understand what KLM colleagues need and turn those insights into intuitive digital experiences that help them get things done.

What will you do?

  • Understand employees’ and candidates’ needs. You research their needs, expectations, and challenges using qualitative and quantitative methods, such as interviews, usability testing, surveys, and other relevant research methods.
  • Turn insights into concrete solutions. You translate research findings and business needs into user flows, concepts, prototypes, and interfaces that solve real problems for employees and candidates.
  • Bring ideas to life in Figma. You create prototypes and interactive designs in Figma to quickly make ideas visible, testable, and ready for further development.
  • Test and improve designs. You test your designs with users and use their feedback, analytics, and product insights to continuously improve the experience.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary product team. You work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Engineers, HR specialists, and other stakeholders to understand the problem, shape the solution, and make informed design decisions.
  • Guide designs towards implementation. You ensure that your designs are translated into working digital solutions and continue to provide value after go-live.
  • Strengthen design at KLM. You contribute to our design community and design system, share knowledge with fellow designers, and help us continuously improve the way we design digital products.

Where do you land?

You will become part of the Data & Technology Business Platform People Technology & Intelligence. We are responsible for KLM’s digital employee experience — from the moment someone applies for a job to the moment they leave the organization. We work closely with our HR colleagues, providing the digital tools and processes they need to support employees throughout their journey at KLM.

You will also be part of a broader community of Product Designers, both within People Technology & Intelligence and across KLM, where we share knowledge, strengthen our design practice, and learn from each other.

Your profile

You are an enthusiastic Product Designer / UX Designer who enjoys exploring the complex world of KLM’s B2E services. You are not afraid to be the voice of the user within a multidisciplinary development team. You work independently, take ownership, and know when to take the lead.

You are curious and bring a fresh perspective to the digital landscape. You enjoy turning complex needs and processes into simple, intuitive, and user-friendly experiences.

In addition, you have:

  • 2–5 years of experience as a Product Designer / UX Designer, applying a broad range of design processes, methodologies, and deliverables.
  • A bachelor’s degree in design or a related discipline, or equivalent professional design experience.
  • A passion for continuously improving the user experience and solving user problems
  • The ability to create creative and innovative designs based on research and feedback from users and stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • An open attitude towards critical feedback and the ability to reflect on your own work.
  • A positive and self-motivated mindset
  • Extensive experience with Figma for UI design, prototyping, and design collaboration. Experience designing digital experiences within the ServiceNow platform is a plus.
