What will you do?

As Software Engineer Level 2, you’ll be responsible for the development, maintenance, and continuity of various third-party applications. You’ll work on improving automation and technical solutions that support our Cargo operations. Your workday involves problem-solving, programming, and keeping systems running smoothly.

In addition:

  • you develop and manage software for a fully automated warehouse system using C and Java;
  • you support and manage the hardware, software, network, and processes of the system;
  • you analyse and resolve incidents and application-related questions, including 24/7 standby services;
  • you plan, implement, test and document software changes and interface maintenance;
  • you provide support for projects and contribute 10% of your time to innovation and development.

Where do you land?

You’ll be working at Schiphol Centrum in the Partner Solutions and Industrial Mean product team. This international team supports all third-party applications within Cargo KLM operations. Together, you'll help ensure seamless cargo processes behind the scenes of every flight.

Your profile

You don't wait for instructions – you take the initiative to solve issues before they escalate. You easily shift from one task to another and work with a clear goal in mind. Whether you’re working solo or within a team, you consistently perform at your best. You communicate clearly and enjoy sharing your knowledge with others.

In addition:

  • you have a background education in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field;
  • you bring 2+ years of experience in IT and are comfortable working with older technologies;
  • you have experience with API development, CI/CD, and working with C and Java;
  • you have knowledge of databases, SQL, HTML, and ASP;
  • you have knowledge of middleware, industrial systems, and older operating systems.
