We are looking for ambitious people who can make this ambition reality! We have an open position as Product Owner Baggage level 2 within Ground Operations. This is a role in a dynamic environment, emphasizing the improvement of the baggage eco-system.

What will you do?
This job offers a dynamic and challenging position that provides possibilities for entrepreneurship. The baggage processes touch multiple departments within KLM: Baggage Services, Passenger Services, Customer Experience and International Stations. You will be a linking pin between these departments while making sure you have a clear vision and roadmap for your team.
In this role, you will be in the lead for the digital tooling from the scan moment of the bag until recovery when a bag goes missing. This includes overseeing development of tools from vendors, Air France and your own product team. Improving existing ones and ensuring data is accessible and actionable for decision-making purposes.
You will navigate a complex stakeholder field that includes interaction with stakeholders from various departments such as Baggage Services, Passenger Services, International Stations, Customer Experience as well as vendors and Air France. Visits to our French colleagues at Air France are also part of this role. With enthusiasm, creativity and vision you are able to transform the way of working, modernize the technology stack and generate stakeholder buy in. Where do you land?
You will join Data & Technology Business Platform Ground. Platform Ground is responsible for a seamless passenger journey and strives for the perfect aircraft turnaround. In Platform Ground, we support our colleagues on the platform, in the baggage halls and in the departure hall (both at Schiphol as well as at all our International Stations) by improving existing IT products or developing and implementing new ones so that they can do their work as efficiently as possible.

Your profile
We are looking for a Product Owner that is up for a challenge!
Although you can make a huge impact with your product, we didn’t say that it would be easy ;-). You can take responsibility for a complex product that needs to be modernized in a global baggage context. You are able to focus on your long-term vision and you make sure your products progresses towards that ultimate goal. You are both capable to inspire and motivate your team, and effectively manage your stakeholders and drive their digital mindset.
You feel comfortable to deal with diverging opinions, can deal with resistance in a changing environment and are able to drive the digital mindset of your stakeholders.
Also, you have:
- intrinsic motivation to be with your boots on the ground and support our operational colleagues;
- experience in managing a complex and diverse stakeholder landscape;
- experience with defining a product vision and roadmap;
- a higher professional education diploma;
- fluency in preferably both Dutch and English.
