Hands-on internship ESG Reporting Intern

As an ESG Reporting Intern at KLM, you will play a key role in driving our annual sustainability reporting campaign. What will you do?
In this role, you will be actively involved in the end-to-end ESG reporting cycle and help ensure the highest quality of our non-financial reporting. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the annual ESG reporting campaign and the year-end reporting cycle;
- Coordinating reporting deadlines and actively following up with data contributors across various departments;
- Assisting with the creation of internal newsletters, reporting instructions, training materials, and team communications;
- Performing data quality checks and helping to identify and resolve data inconsistencies;
- Providing first-line support to users of our specialized ESG reporting tools;
- Assisting in collecting and structuring audit evidence and supporting documentation for external assurance;
- Contributing to ongoing process improvements.
Where do you land?
You will be part of the Planning & Reporting team within KLM's Corporate Finance department, located at our Headquarters in Amstelveen (with a flexible, hybrid working arrangement).You will work closely with finance professionals and build an extensive network across the wider Air France-KLM Group, interacting with departments ranging from HR and Sustainability to Procurement and IT. Your profile
You are an enthusiastic, analytical, and well-organized student who is eager to learn about ESG reporting, corporate reporting directives (such as CSRD), and data governance in a dynamic corporate environment. You are a strong communicator who can connect easily with diverse stakeholders and break down complex data requirements into clear actions.
- You are currently pursuing an HBO Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Sustainability, Business Administration, Economics, Data Analytics, or a closely related field;
- You have strong analytical skills and an eye for detail and accuracy;
- You have advanced skills in Microsoft Excel;
- You possess excellent communication and organizational skills, with a proactive and curious mindset;
- You are fluent in written and spoken English (knowledge of Dutch is considered a plus);
- You are available for a period of 6 months full-time (40 hours/5 days per week) starting as soon as possible;
- You are enrolled at an accredited Dutch (or EU/EEA) educational institution for the entire duration of the internship.
