What will you do?
As a Functional Application Manager Level 2, you will be responsible for managing assigned applications and ensuring that they function optimally. You will support users in using the applications, implement changes and contribute to the migration of systems. In addition, you will play an active role in ensuring information security and managing change requests. You will work closely with various teams to continuously improve and maintain the applications.
Furthermore:
- you will register and analyse change requests, draw up user specifications and work with IT to implement new functions;
- you provide instructions and training to end users to ensure the correct use of applications;
- you monitor and supervise the functioning of applications and interfaces and intervene in incidents to resolve them;
- you test updates, application improvements and new versions of the systems before release;

Where do you land?
Where will you be based? You will be working at KLM Engineering & Maintenance at Schiphol East, where you will be part of the team within the Information Management Organisation (IMO) Component Services department. You will work closely with your immediate colleagues in an environment focused on improving and managing critical IT systems. You will support the business in making optimal use of applications, which has a direct impact on KLM's operations.
Your profile
You are able to switch gears quickly and prioritise effortlessly, ensuring the operational continuity of our applications. You take responsibility and work proactively to solve problems and support users. With your solution-oriented and customer-focused attitude, you are able to advise the business on the functional side of the applications. You ensure that changes are implemented efficiently and that users are well informed and trained. You have a hands-on mentality and are able to work well with various teams within the organisation. All of this takes place mainly from building H14 at Schiphol East. Developments are currently taking place within our organisation that may lead to a reorganisation of departments. This vacancy is part of that dynamic, in which we strive for transparency and involvement throughout the process. Furthermore:
- you have at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. data science, computer science, ICT);
- you have 3-5 years of experience in a similar position, preferably in a complex IT environment;
- you have experience in managing business applications and performing incident and change management;
- you have knowledge of CMC4Parts, SAP, Fiori Apps is an advantage;
- you have knowledge of information security and ensure that the applications comply with the applicable guidelines.
- you have experience in drawing up user specifications and coordinating application implementations and migrations.
