Business Analyst
You will join the Information Management Organization (IMO) within KLM Engineering & Maintenance. IMO supports the business in achieving its objectives through continuous optimisation of processes, information management, and organisational development. You will work closely with the business, Information Services, suppliers, and international partners within Air France-KLM.
What will you do?
As a Business Analyst, you act as the link between Product Owners, the Business, Project Managers, and the technical IT teams.
Your primary role is to understand and translate business requirements into meaningful insights for IT developers. At the same time, you translate technical concepts into clear, non-technical language so that all stakeholders understand what is happening.
You will also collaborate closely with colleagues in the business, analyse processes together, and contribute ideas for improvements and user adoption.
Key responsibilities include:
- Analysing and modelling business processes, proactively engaging with relevant stakeholders;
- Defining and documenting requirements and Use Cases in close collaboration with the user organisation/product team;
- Developing business cases focused on maximising and clearly articulating business value;
- Designing, developing, and implementing process improvements;
- Designing IT solutions in close cooperation with users, architects, and IT specialists;
- Coordinating and contributing to testing, data migration, implementation (change management), and user support of new IT solutions.
Where do you land?
You will join the Information Management Organization (IMO) within KLM Engineering & Maintenance.
You will work within the Component Services & Supply Chain domain, with a primary focus on expanding and optimising Salesforce integrations with systems such as SAP and external applications.
You will contribute to improving and streamlining customer-oriented processes, optimising workflows between departments, and taking over and safeguarding functionalities of systems that are being phased out.
In addition, you will translate business requirements into concrete solutions and facilitate communication between business stakeholders and IT teams. You will support the development of process documentation, user stories, and alignment with developers, ensuring processes remain consistent and efficient.
Your primary workplace will be Hangar 14 at Schiphol East.

Your profile
- Master’s degree (WO level) or equivalent level of thinking and working;
- Relevant work experience in IT, Digital & Data;
- Experience with APIs and system integrations (e.g. JSON, XML, XSD);
- Experience with Salesforce Lightning, SAP and/or Middleware (e.g. TIBCO);
- Experience in modelling business processes (including BPMN and ML modelling);
- Ability to analyse complex problems, identify the core issues, and formulate clear, understandable solutions that gain broad support;
- Experience with logistics operations and processes;
- Knowledge of Engineering & Maintenance (E&M) is a plus .
