Business Analyst Level 2

What will you do?
As a business analyst within the New Cargo Terminal project, you will translate the operational concept and IT vision into concrete epics, features, business cases, and a clear roadmap. You will contribute to the IT Fit & Gap analysis and ensure that project goals align with KLM’s strategic direction. You will be the link between operations and technology, ensuring smooth communication and making sure innovations are successfully implemented. Together with stakeholders, you’ll explore their needs, analyze processes, and help drive successful project delivery.
Further:
- you translate the vision into high- and mid-level IT and functional requirements, developing epics and features for the New Cargo Terminal, including topics such as 360-piece level visibility, integral planning, zero-touch processes, industrial methods, and process enablement;
- you develop a business case for each epic to support decision-making;
- you create a roadmap for your scope, with a strong focus on the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and, to a lesser extent, future phases;
- you participate in the Proof of Concept program and translate the outcomes for the IT, data, and control track, ensuring alignment with the operational concept and IT vision;
- you identify and document assumptions required from an IT, data, and control perspective for the simulation track;
- you support project management activities, conduct testing and validation, and perform data analysis.
Where do you land?
You will be part of KLM Cargo, working in a specialized team within the New Cargo Terminal project. This team is part of the Business Process Improvement department. Together with colleagues who share your passion for logistics and process improvement, you’ll work from the Cargo building at Schiphol Center — right in the heart of KLM’s cargo operations.
Your profile
You actively look for opportunities to make processes smarter and more innovative. You quickly identify bottlenecks and translate them into clear, practical solutions. With your storytelling skills and persuasive approach, you inspire others to join you. You switch effortlessly between different stakeholders and maintain oversight, even under pressure.
Further:
- you hold a completed bachelor’s or master’s degree, or equivalent qualification through experience, preferably in logistics or systems engineering;
- you have at least 3 to 5 years of experience in process optimization, project management, or a similar role;
- you are proficient in BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation) for process mapping and improvement.
