In an environment where technology and logistics constantly challenge each other, you’ll have the opportunity to explore, innovate, and continuously grow.
What will you do?
You’ll analyze, improve, and redesign processes within KLM Cargo, with a strong focus on data and digitalization. You’ll translate business needs into concrete IT solutions and help the organization work smarter and more efficiently. You combine your analytical mindset with the ability to engage others in change.
Further:
- you work in multidisciplinary agile teams that shape the future of Cargo Operations;
- you support Product Owners in setting priorities, refining the vision, and solving complex issues;
- you use data and process analysis to map current ways of working and propose improvements;
- you analyze problems and translate them into feasible and effective solutions;
- you accept and evaluate developed products, ensuring that agreed objectives are achieved.
Where do you land?
Within the Business Process Improvement (BPI) department, several teams work together to optimize and innovate KLM Cargo’s global operations. From Schiphol, BPI supports the business through Lean Six Sigma projects and digital solutions that help streamline processes, replace legacy systems, and make smarter use of data. The department is in the midst of a major digital transformation, where technology and collaboration go hand in hand to achieve operational excellence. In this dynamic, international environment, you’ll directly contribute to a smoothly running cargo operation and to KLM’s ambition to lead the way in digital logistics worldwide.
As part of BPI, you’ll join the Digital Customs team. The group is responsible for managing the applications and processes that support customs operations. As a carrier, KLM must declare to customs the freight transported on board its aircraft and trucks. To ensure compliance, the Digital Customs team manages four applications that transmit the required information to customs authorities worldwide and monitor their responses. The team is spread across multiple locations, including Amsterdam (Schiphol), Paris (CDG), the south of France and Rabat. Working in this team means tackling constantly evolving topics that call on your analytical mindset, curiosity and adaptability.
