Senior BI Developer with ETL experience (Powercenter IDMC) and interest in Big Data

We are looking for a BI developer who can translate business requests into production-ready, maintainable solutions. You will build and maintain these solutions yourself (within a product team) according to the AFKLM guidelines and UDA (Unified Data Architecture) and your will coordinate these requests with the different stakeholders and other engineers.

What will you do?

As a BI developer you will be part of our central Data, AI and OR department from where you work in different businesses, often as part of a product team. This department is responsible for the development, maintenance and continuity of BI & Big Data applications and tools. The businesses you work for are either up in the air or on the ground and can vary from operational to finance. All these different KLM business partners need the scalable solutions you design, making use of structured and unstructured data. As a BI developer you help the business getting the most value out of their data by giving them the information and insights via our data visualisation tools on which they can make thought out decisions. During the development process you will be guiding the team, and you will be in close contact with the business to align on the requirements. Once the solution is built, you ensure it gets operational and stays like that! This all of course in an agile environment. Most product teams will work two days a week in the office.

Part of your time is spent on developing and working on department-related tasks such that we can improve our processes, deliver quality and leveraging knowledge across the company. Our department also provides 24/7 support for applications without product team, all engineers are expected to take part in the schedule to deliver this support.

Within the department we offer possibilities to develop and grow, that’s why we have multiple levels per job profile.

Our department Data, AI and OR has locations in France and the Netherlands, you will be part of the team in The Netherlands. Our main location is at Schiphol Rijk, however our product teams are all over Schiphol and Amstelveen, as they sit close to the business they work with.
