  • KLM Cityhopper, also known as KLC, is a fully owned subsidiary of the KLM Group and operates a significant portion of its European network on behalf of KLM. KLC has a smaller workforce, which means you will have more responsibilities as you work in a smaller team. You may be eligible for promotion after one year of employment, and KLC also offers numerous secondary positions. KLC operates a full Embraer fleet, while KLM operates a fleet consisting of Airbus and Boeing aircraft.

  • If you are unsure whether your diploma meets the minimum HAVO or MBO level 3, for example because you obtained a diploma abroad, then DUO offers the solution. On the DUO website you can check whether your diploma meets the required level.

  • When applying, it is important to note that your foreign degree/diploma should already be accredited. We recommend using Nuffic for this process. Please keep in mind that the accreditation process may take several weeks.

  • When you’ve successfully completed the application process, we’ll keep your application in file for a maximum period of 12 months. Of course, we strive to you place you on an initial training course as soon as possible. You’ll be notified about your placement in an initial training course at least 10 weeks in advance.

    The reason that we only keep your application in file for a maximum period of 12 months is that you or your personal circumstances may have changed after that time period. The results of a not successfully completed job application will also remain in file for 12 months.

  • Tattoos and piercings may not be worn visibly when wearing the KLM uniform. Tongue piercings and dental embellishments are never permitted. Before reporting for flying duties you must take piercings out.

  • You may reside at anywhere you prefer. However, during standby shifts you are expected to report for duty at Schiphol Airport within one hour at all times.

  • You are required to be 18 years of age at the time of your application. We will not consider your application at any time before meeting our age requirement.
