From offices to hangars and from repair shops to cargo environments: there are few organizations in the Netherlands with such diverse buildings as KLM - all at and around Schiphol. That 700,000 square meters of workspace must be regularly adjusted, for example due to new legislation, sustainability ambitions or changing needs of colleagues. And moreover: the services in those buildings require constant attention. That is why our team works on KLM's buildings and partnerships every day.

Big scale, bigger impact

As many as 93 buildings, 700,000 square meters, tens of thousands of colleagues: these are the quantities we deal with every day. A gigantic scope, then – unique in the Netherlands. This also applies to the variety of buildings that we maintain and manage, and the facility services that we manage. We translate strategy into services and physical environment – a puzzle in which legal requirements, organizational ambitions and wishes of colleagues come together. Our work therefore has a direct impact on important themes such as sustainability, safety and job satisfaction. Look at the maintenance hangar, for example: planes drive in and out, so the large doors are often open. How do we ensure that we burn less, but people still don't get cold?

Radiating pleasure

Facing tough challenges all day long, while contributing to KLM's leading position: that can create a stressful environment. Fortunately, this is not the case with RE&FC. In fact, there is a free and pleasant atmosphere in the department in building 133 - we have a nice team full of fresh energy. You decide where you work: there are plenty of buildings to choose from! You are also free in how you work. You have your own portfolio, partners, projects and programs, you decide how to achieve your goals.
