A lot or a few flight hours in your log book

Do you want to fulfill your pilot's dream or are you ready for your next flying challenge? However experienced you are, you are most welcome in the cockpits of KLM and KLM Cityhopper! Our flying corps is bursting with motivated colleagues and is a great group to be part of. Can you see yourself flying in a blue Boeing, Airbus or Embraer? Then we would love to hear from you!

What we are looking for

Profile

at minimum havo diploma with English, mathematics and physics; or mbo-4 diploma in engineering
valid passport from an EU member state
body height of 1.58 - 2.03 metres
you fluently speak and understand Dutch and English

Class I Medical
(Frozen) ATPL (A)
Initial CRM
LPE6
Multi Crew Cooperation Course
Upset Prevention and Recovery Training
PBN-annotation

Experience

Preferably completed KFA, NLS, CAE, EPST, MFA or MPL-A/H
at least 500 hours flown on a heavy twin fixed wing (5,700 kg or more)
at least 150 hours flown in commercial aviation in the last year before applying or experience as a military pilot

Selection procedure

Round 1: cv selection
Round 2: online assessment
Round 3: psychological assessment
Round 4: simulator grading
Round 5: interview with Committee of Selection (COVA)
Round 6: security screenings and medical examination, including blood and urine tests for medication, alcohol and drugs

An internal file check and a reference check can also be part of the selection procedure. By applying you agree to the procedure.

Have you successfully completed the selection procedure? Then we will invite you for a Type Rating Course (TRC) as soon as there is room.

KLM Flight Academy

Did you know that KLM has its own flight school? The KLM Flight Academy is the only aviation school in the Netherlands that can train commercial pilots for KLM. Those who successfully pass the rigorous selection will join fellow students on the two-year training course to become a commercial pilot - with financing. During this course, you will have plenty of opportunities to develop yourself, both professionally and personally. If you get your pilot's licence and we have vacancies?
