Management Traineeships
KLM has been pioneering within aviation and the Dutch economy for over a century. We owe this drive for innovation largely to innovative, inspiring leadership. You can be part of the next generation of blue leaders. During our two-year traineeships, you will develop at lightning speed, both personally and professionally. You can choose from four tracks. Which track will suit you best?
The selection process for the Management Traineeship consists of the following steps
- Registering via the website
- Online assessment (three test components)
- Recording a personal video message
- Selection interview
- Offline assessment day
- Offer
The vacancies for the Management Traineeship starting in September 2025 will open around March 2025. Keep an eye on the official career website and socials for updates!
During this period, webinars will also be organized for each track. These are informative (online) sessions where all information about the program and the track will be provided, and current trainees will be present to answer questions. Registration for the webinar is only possible via the link mentioned in the vacancy, so early registration is not possible.

Our traineeships
For two years, you will follow an intensive development programme focused on personal leadership. In total, you complete four assignments. Along the way, you will also get to know KLM, our strategy, working environment, and our partners. In addition, you'll spend a lot of time with other trainees with whom you will have sessions, peer reviews, get-togethers, and events. All this makes the KLM traineeship one of the best places to build your leadership skills, professional development, and network.
