Internship: Data Analysis and Data Science (Digital Airport team)

What will you do?
As an intern in the Digital Airport team, you will contribute to various data-driven projects that support our global market objectives, with a strong focus on passenger satisfaction. Your responsibilities may include:
- Conducting innovative analyses to gain insights into customer behavior and identify actionable opportunities.
- Developing predictive models to assist ground staff in their airport operations.
- Creating predictive models to monitor customer sentiment.
- Designing interactive dashboards to generate actionable insights.
Where do you land?
You will collaborate with a diverse and ambitious Digital Airport team, consisting of a Product Owner, Business Analysts, Information Analysts, an architect, and front-end and back-end developers. This product team is part of the Travel & Recovery department within the joint Digital department of Air France / KLM (AFKL). The team is geographically spread across the Netherlands and India. Together, we share a common goal: leveraging data to improve the digital products and services for our passengers. We work closely with the A2H team (internal app for ground staff), the CRMPush team (for email, messages, and notifications), Customer Experience, User Experience, and ground staff at the airport. We are based at the KLM headquarters in Amstelveen.
Your profile
We are looking for a hands-on, motivated, and ambitious team player who is eager to gain valuable work experience during their studies. Key qualifications include:
- Currently pursuing a university or college degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Sciences, or a related field.
- Demonstrable analytical mindset and experience applying statistical models.
- Proficiency in programming, with knowledge of Python and SQL as a significant advantage.
- Precise, proactive, and independent working style.
- Good command of English, with Dutch and/or French being a plus.
- Available to work for at least 4 months, preferably 6 months, 32-40 hours per week.
As an intern in our team, you thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and enjoyable work environment that promotes quick learning and growth. We offer flexibility to work partly from home, in consultation with the team. Besides learning about data, you will also gain insight into working in a large corporate environment. Additionally, we organize various social activities with the team. You will also have the opportunity to join Taxibaan, the association for KLM interns and dual students, which offers fun social activities such as visiting a hangar or catering.
The start is possible from early September, but a later start date is negotiable.
