What will you do?
In your new role as a Data Analyst, you'll be responsible on a daily basis for obtaining insights that can be directly translated into action. You provide the Customer & Proposition domain (including sales and revenue management) and stakeholders with the right analyses and insights, based on data. The Customer & Proposition domain is responsible for Transavia's commercial activities and the associated IT product development. You play a leading role from start to finish: from obtaining the right data from our Data Warehouse via SQL queries and conducting analyses, to translating them into insights and actions and conveying them through a dashboard (e.g., PowerBI), a report, or another convincing presentation.

- You actively provide (solicited and unsolicited) insights and tools that contribute to the execution of the strategy and making better decisions within your domain;
- You're able to choose the right content and form in terms of data source, analysis, and presentation;
- You make the relevant KPIs measurable and interpret them (trends) to arrive at concrete decisions and actions within your domain;
- With your knowledge of the data in this domain, you also contribute to the development of AI/ML solutions (such as predictive models) in collaboration with Data Scientists and Data Engineers in the team;
- You continuously strive for the right balance between maintaining existing dashboards and reporting for daily business and new (strategic) issues that lead to different insights and perspectives;
- You not only take on a proactive advisory role but also enable the business to work more data-driven themselves.
Where do you land?
The Strategy, Data & Intelligence (SDI) leads the transformation to data-driven work, advises departments based on information and insights, and builds data and AI solutions for Transavia's customers and employees. You'll work closely with the rest of the team (consisting of Analytics Translators, Consultants, Data Analysts, Data Scientists, and Data Engineers), and stakeholders within the Customer & Proposition domain.
Your profile
Who are you?For this vacancy of Data Analyst Sales at Transavia, you have a lot to offer, because:
- You have completed a bachelor's or master's degree and/or gained experience as a (Data/Business) Analyst, (Research) Consultant, or in a similar role;
- You are available for a minimum of 32 hours per week;
- You are fluent in English, Dutch is a plus;
- You are 'agile', or continuously adaptable. This is what we need to continually improve what we do and adapt to the constantly changing world around us;
- You are decisive, passionate, responsible, friendly, and you have that 'little bit of courage'.
As a Data Analyst Sales, you have knowledge of:
- commercial issues in sales, pricing, and/or revenue management;
- translating business objectives and ideas into information product use cases;
- understanding business processes and information needs, and testing information needs against business objectives;
- performing the various phases in the development of reports and dashboards. From experimenting to putting business intelligence solutions into production and maintenance;
- managing data, exploring the meaning of data, and generating insights from data using BI tools such as PowerBI and SQL;
- explaining data issues to a non-expert audience.
