Aircraft maintenance engineers

Practical information
  • Absolutely! Together with a partner organisation, KLM will help your move to the Netherlands go smoothly. For the first phase of your move, KLM will provide accommodation.

  • If you want to start immediately as an aircraft maintenance engineer, you will need a KLM-related type rating on your EASE Part 66. If you still have an empty AML, but at least three years of relevant experience then you can get your required type rating with us through on-the-job training (OJT).

  • You will first be given a fixed-term contract (usually for one year). Upon good performance & consistent conditions of the organisation, we will convert it to a permanent contract.

  • At KLM E&M, we work with fixed teams in a shift roster. This is a recurring schedule, and consists of morning, afternoon and evening shifts with days off in between. Twice a year, we redetermine your roster.

  • No, at KLM this isn't possible.

  • Yes, you can. However, keep in mind that this often makes the mandatory external background and safety checks substantially longer.

  • You certainly can. Due to the high level of interest, we only offer this opportunity to candidates who have had an interview and received an offer. Of course, you will get a tour before accepting and signing the offer.
