At Engineering & Staff, over 300 specialists combine data, innovation and engineering to keep KLM’s fleet reliable, efficient and ready for the future of aviation.

Within Engineering & Staff, you’ll find the brain behind KLM Engineering & Maintenance. Around 300 colleagues work in teams such as Aircraft, Cabin & Support and Master Data Management & Big Data. They analyse, calculate and improve every aspect that keeps our fleet flying, from system performance to maintenance planning. Their insights make every flight smarter, safer and more sustainable.

Here, engineering and data come together. Engineers, data analysts, lab technicians, NDT specialists and VR/AI pioneers work across several locations at Schiphol-East, right in the technical heart of KLM E&M. If you get energy from innovation and want to make an impact in aviation technology, this is the place to be.

What that looks like

Within Engineering Aircraft, teams analyse aircraft performance, develop maintenance strategies and implement structural improvements. Cabin & Support focuses on cabin comfort, safety systems and technical support for the fleet.

The Big Data Engineering and Master Data Management teams turn operational data into smart solutions, from predictive maintenance to digital process optimisation. Their work keeps the KLM fleet reliable, efficient and ready for the future.
