Component Services

At Component Services, everything revolves around the availability and reliability of aircraft parts.
Within Component Services, we manage, maintain and distribute aircraft components for KLM and international customers. From navigation systems, wheels and flaps to sensors and cockpit instruments, we keep more than 20,000 parts in service and available worldwide. Our mission is simple: every part in the right place, at the right time, to keep aircraft flying safely and efficiently.
Behind this operation is a team of over 830 colleagues. They work together every day in repair, logistics, inventory management and planning. Each year, we handle more than 130,000 shipments, ensuring that crucial components are where they need to be, when they need to be there.
What that looks like
In Component Repair, damaged or worn parts are inspected, tested and restored to top condition. Shop Engineering & Support focuses on technical improvements and workshop support.
The Component Control & Availability team ensures that parts are ready for use, while Supply Chain Operations and Logistics coordinate worldwide transport and distribution. Data Transformation & Continuous Improvement drives digital innovation, from smarter inventory management to predictive maintenance.
Together, these teams form a seamless chain that keeps the global fleet moving efficiently, precisely and reliably.
