Logistics within Engineering & Maintenance

Logistics forms the indispensable link within KLM Engineering & Maintenance. Every day, our logistics professionals ensure the smooth delivery of aircraft parts, both to KLM and to external customers. Whether it’s small nuts and bolts or meter-long aircraft components, they handle the intake, storage, and shipping. They also keep the administration precise and make sure all data in our IT systems is completely accurate.

Supporting the maintenance process

Every day, our logistics teams make sure that mechanics have quick and safe access to the right parts and materials, so that maintenance on aircraft, engines, and components runs smoothly. You’ll be working in an environment that will keep amazing you: among gigantic hangars full of planes and warehouses stocked with specialist parts. It’s a place where logistics and engineering come together, and you experience every day just how special aviation is.

Logistics opportunities within different divisions

Within the various divisions, there are several opportunities in Logistics. For example, in Component Services, everything revolves around a streamlined logistics flow. Parts are constantly moving from incoming goods, through the warehouse and workshop, to repair and back again for shipping. Every part is carefully checked, registered, and prepared at the right time for use or transport.

Overview and order in the aircraft warehouses

In the large warehouses of the hangars at Airframe, you are responsible for the organized, safe, and efficient storage of every aircraft part and tool. You know exactly where everything is and keep the inventory and administration up to date in our systems. Goods are received quickly and carefully, sorted, and prepared for the technicians on the hangar floor.
