A century-old reputation
At 105 years old, KLM is the oldest airline in the world, and has a name to uphold when it comes to safety and quality. So, whether you're working on a big LEAP-1A/1B or GEnx-1B mortor or on some small parts, you'll always find an atmosphere where very serious and precise work is done.
Big Jet Engines
The engine shop maintains big jet engines, both KLM's and third-party engines. We work on motors like the GEnx-1B (Boeing 787) and the CFMI LEAP-1A (Airbus a320 NEO) en 1B (Boeing 737 MAX) and aslo on CF6 and CFM56-7B
What I like most about working in the Engine Shop? I like to figure things out. When an engine comes in with a defect, we'll confirm the defect. But I like figuring out the 'why' in the defect. Working on big jet engines is really something unique.Bryan, engine mechanic
