What are you going to do?

The Scrum Master is an enabling leader who empowers teams, teams of teams and the platform as a whole to organize and deliver value through effective Lean-Agile practices and coaching the desired culture. The Scrum Master has a set of skills for creating an open and safe work environment and provides feedback to the teams and the other players on the platform.


The Scrum Master is able to explain Lean-Agile theory, practices, rules and values to everyone inside and outside the team to maximize the value created by the teams. A senior Scrum Master can also act as a Release Train Engineer (RTE) for an Agile Release Train (ART). In that case, the Release Train Engineer is responsible for coordinating and coaching the Agile Release Train, so that maximum value is created by the teams that make up the Agile Release Train.


It is expected that you;

  • Can turn a group of people into a team and make them champions.

  • Are able to set up the day-to-day activities and facilitating the team ceremonies, you are the impediment remover and you solve blocking issues within the team.

  • Work closely with the Product Owner to ensure product vision, goals, scope.

  • Support and coach the development teams and promote self-organization and t-shape capabilities to ensure high-value products.

  • Take an active role in the Scrum Master Community of Practice.

  • Act in designing, preparing, and animating generic and specific training related to a wide variety of working methods.


Where do you land?

Scrum Master for the Learn & Evolve team. This team supports, maintains and improves the digital learning journey of all KLM employees. The team works closely together with the Learning & Development Digital team. We are looking for a Scrum Master with a sense of humor. Apart from the Scrum Master and the Product Owner, the team consists of three Software Engineers and nine BPA’s. All professional, skilled people who work hard, but also like to have fun while doing so.


Your profile

You turn challenges into solutions, you are a creative and operational thinker and you are gifted with an entrepreneurial spirit.


Furthermore, you;

  • Have a proven track record as master of Scrum in an Agile/Scrum organization.

  • Have a valid EU work permit

  • Know the Scrum principles and have the agile DNA that’s needed.

  • Are an ambitious human being with a thirst for learning, improving and innovation, and you combine this with a healthy sense of humor.

  • Can express yourself in English, we are an international bunch.

  • Know how to deal with multiple teams at a time, in some cases cross-company.

  • Have the drive to ensure continuous improvement on team, team of teams, individual and Platform level.

  • Can support & coach the team or multiple teams in handling difficult situations.

  • Can stimulate teams and/or the team of teams to reflect on Agile mindset & values.

  • Are capable to inspire, motivate, coach people to adapt to the new organizational set-up and towards the new way of working.
