Introduction

Digital IT and Business aim to make the digital channel each travelers’ favorite by providing spot-on offers and services at every step of the journey; the Offer component is at the heart of this and is essential for our customers to buy their ancillary products and manage their (re)- bookings. As an Ancillary Software Engineer, you play a crucial role in achieving this Digital ambition.

Anchillaries add value for the customers to enrich their journey and are a source of revenue for the company.

As the Ancillary Offer Domain (AOAPI) team at Air France and KLM we are at several KPIs from the Flight Plan: Efficiency, Customer, Revenue, Sustainability and the people one. We aim to provide an easy and customer friendly way for customers to buy upsell or sustainable products for driving conversion and building customer satisfaction. We do this for all customer facing channels within Air France and KLM as well as external partners to provide a consistent customer experience.

Protecting sensitive data and taking steps to prevent data breaches is central as well as complying with data privacy laws.

There is a lot of attention for innovation in the domain, on the technical and functional side. Besides this, the teams are continuously improving their agile/scrum way of working and quality through code reviews, automated testing, and refactoring. Since there are many teams that depend on each other to deliver functionality, SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) is used.
