What are you going to do?

Pricing and revenue management are key revenue drivers and optimize the Cargo contribution and the digitization of the customer experience. The department Development & Process Support manages development and implementation of a large number of tools for these processes, including ‘Big Data/AI’. Our joint ambition is to be at the forefront of pricing and revenue management in the cargo industry.


A key topic you will work on is the development of tools to monitor KPIs from PRM and throughout the Cargo organization. Based on requirements from users and stakeholders, you collect, transform, visualize and load required data and develop and implement new functionality and data infrastructure solutions, in close cooperation with your DPS and PRM colleagues and by working together with suppliers of tools and data.

Another topic you will work on is the analysis of pricing and revenue management processes and data, like profiling flights and setting (minimum) price and Entry Condition levels. Together with users and stakeholders from PRM and other departments, you will work in smaller and larger projects – some of which you manage yourself – to collect and analyze requirements, perform (data) analysis and translate this in process updates, prototypes and/or working software.


These are just a few examples. As Consultant Data Analytics you will play an important role in innovative and cross-functional projects with high impact on AFKL Cargo network results.


Where will you land?

DPS is part of MRN (Marketing, Pricing & Revenue Management and Network) of Air France-KLM Cargo. The Consultant Data Analytics reports to the Director DPS. You will be part of a diverse team based in CDG and AMS, with an ambitious plan. You are based in Schiphol Oost AMS.


Your Profile

You analyze in no time to find the root cause of a problem. On your own or in a team, you learn quickly and always go for real impact. You don’t have to be asked to start something. You effortlessly switch from one activity, assignment or environment to another. You know how to present and communicate to different target groups. You like to work in new and diverse environments, dealing with multiple cultures.

Next to this, you have:

  • a University degree (preferably Master) in a business/finance or data technical discipline (e.g. Econometrics, Data Analytics/Engineering, Operations Research, Business Administration, Statistics), or Engineering degree; 
  • excellent communication skills in English (both written and spoken);
  • technical skills in SQL and preferably SpotFire or you are willing to become proficient in this:
  • experience with and knowledge of data analysis & engineering and preferably the following: Cargo (and PRM) business processes; Agile principles; optimization tools & techniques (Gurobi/ CPLEX); basic Python;
